Arden Sidney Taylor

Cuba City, Wisconsin Arden S. Taylor, 84, of Cuba City, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Orchard Manor in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Private family services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Cuba City, with Rev. Dan Verdegan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born in Bagley, Wisconsin on September 30, 1928, the son of Sidney and Alma (Strong) Taylor. Arden married Lorraine Lenzendorf on November 3, 1951 at the Methodist Church in Wauzeka, Wisconsin. Arden grew up in Patch Grove, Wisconsin, and served in Japan while in the United States Army. He ran the Badger Paint Store in Boscobel for a time, but was a farmer for most of his life. He also went trucking with a couple of his sons for a time. Arden was a good husband, loved to fish and play cards, and loved the Green Bay Packers. He also liked to read and watch John Wayne movies. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his children, Marsha Mueller, of Cuba City, Ronald (friend Chris), of Bloomington, Chris Kuepers, of Dickeyville, Kim Taylor, of Platteville, Jim (Lynn) Taylor, of Dubuque, Robert (Debra) Taylor, of Belmont, Todd (Kelly) Taylor, of Oconomowoc, and Tom (Carrie) Taylor, of Potosi; a sister, Audrey Hazen, of Prairie du Chien; two brothers, Gene (Pat) Taylor, of Clinton, Wisconsin, and David (Sheila) Taylor, of Tomah, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Virgie Taylor, of Lancaster; 36 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Arden was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Bernard, Herbert, and Lauren (Evie); a brother-in-law, Leslie Hazen; and two sons-in-law, Ron Mueller and John Kuepers. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Orchard Manor. .
