Audrey M. Brandt, 53, of Kieler, Wisconsin, died Sunday, October 25, 2009, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler, Wisconsin, with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish rosary will be at 4:00 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home before the service. Audrey was born on May 3, 1956, at the Hazel Green Hospital in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Green) Miller. She married Harvey V. Brandt on June 7, 1986, at Lancaster, Wisconsin. Audrey graduated from The Finley Hospital Nursing program in 1977 and went straight to work in the operating room there. She loved her job at Finley where she worked for 33 years. She enjoyed working with everyone at the hospital, especially Dr. Nemmers and his wife, Ruth Ann. Audrey also loved to talk about her boys. Everyone at the hospital always knew what the boys were up to. Harvey and she loved going for rides and going out for dinner. They also liked to welcome people into their home at Christmas, especially to see the Christmas Village. If you called on a Saturday or Sunday, you were guaranteed to be calling Audrey during a Packer or Badger Game. She couldn’t talk because she was too into the football game. Survivors include her husband, Harvey; two sons, Daniel R. Brandt and Glen J. Brandt, both of Kieler; her father, Robert M. “Bob” Miller, of Hazel Green; her siblings, Shirley (Jim) O’Brien, of East Dubuque, Tom (Shelly) Miller, of Hazel Green, Bob (Ellen) Miller Jr., of Menominee, Illinois, and Roger “Scrub” (Debbie) Miller and Peggy (Tony) Banfield, both of Hazel Green. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia R. “Pat” Miller. An Audrey M. Brandt Memorial Fund has been established. A special thank you to the doctors and staff at The Finley Hospital.
