Barbara A. "Bb" Brown

Shullsburg, Wisconsin Barbara Ann “BB” Brown, 72, of Shullsburg, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Mercy One Dubuque. A private family service will be held at a later date with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Truman, Wisconsin. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is assisting the family. Barbara was born on June 19, 1947 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Cletus A. and Julia M. (McDonald) Byrnes. After graduating from nursing school, Barbara joined the US Air Force as a nurse. Barbara was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially her nursing school bunch. She had a love of political discussions, both local and national. Barbara is survived by a daughter, Gina (Steve) Curran, Shullsburg, WI; a son, Jeremy (LaVonne) Brown, Rockton, IL; her former husband, John E. Brown, Jr., Shullsburg, WI; four sisters, Kathy Waul, Madison, WI, Lynette Kramer, Sullivan, WI, Laurie Klein, Fountain City, WI, and Mary Jo Reyna, Shullsburg, WI; three brothers, Kevin Byrnes, Madison, WI, Steve Byrnes, Mineral Point, WI, and Brian Byrnes, Tornado, WV; six grandchildren, Ethan and Isaac Brown, Mick and Levi Curran, and Kegan and Makenzie Brown; and two great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and a son and daughter-in-law, David and Stacy Brown. A Barbara A. Brown Memorial Fund has been established.
