Kieler, Wisconsin Bernadette L. Jansen, 85, of Kieler, Wisconsin, died Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Monday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish rosary will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center before the service. Bernadette was born on January 11, 1929, in Dickeyville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jacob and Catherine (Timmerman) Kowalski. She married Virgil Jansen on November 18, 1950, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City. Bernadette was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Parish and a member of the Jamestown Fire Department Auxiliary. She was also the voice on the phone for 43 years for fuel orders for Virgil's Perfection Oil Truck. Survivors include her husband, Virgil; two daughters, Pam (Dennis) Pearce, of Hazel Green, and Susan (Joe Hoppman) Jansen, of Kieler; a son, Doug (Kathy) Jansen, of Dubuque; two brothers, Eugene (Rita) Kowalski, of Platteville, and Isadore (Diane) Kowalski, of Cuba City; fifteen grandchildren, Laura (Rich) Udelhofen, Brandy Welter, Lisa (Matt) Tranel, Craig (Cory) Pearce, Jesse Jansen, Chad (Laura) Pearce, Josh (Reva) Jansen, Justin Jansen, Crystal (Kevin) Kirk, Jake Welter, Derek Schmieder, Shyla (Jay) Lukens, Kim (Tyler) Welborn, Mike and Mitch Hoppman; and sixteen great-grandchildren, Austin and Devin Udelhofen, Brianna and Braedon Tranel, Landen Jansen, Mason and Madison Kirk, Kashton and Karley Jansen, Kordell Stillmunkes, Tanner, Julian and Meric Lukens, Jady, Maddy and Vanessa Welborn. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Delores (Gene) Quinn and Ramona (Joseph) Bode; three brothers, Victor (Doris) Kowalski, Norbert (Lillian) Kowalski, and Leroy Kowalski; a sister-in-law, Helen Kowalski; a brother-in-law, Donald Jansen; and her father and mother-in-law, Ray and Helen Jansen. A Bernadette L. Jansen Memorial Fund has been established.
