Cuba City, Wisconsin Berneice A. Weber, 84, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish and Catholic Daughters of America wake service will be at 1:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home before the service. Berneice was born on May 23, 1927, in LaMotte, Iowa, the daughter of Nick and Mary (Arensdorf) Heiar. She married Francis A. "Fritz" Weber on January 23, 1946, in LaMotte. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2000. Berneice grew up on a dairy farm in LaMotte. After marrying Fritz, they owned and operated a dairy farm in the Cuba City area. They loved to dance to live country and western music. They also loved to entertain friends and go "camping" in their Winnebago. They traveled around the United States visiting their children and helping them to remodel their homes. Berneice was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was well-known for her delicious apple pies. Berneice also loved bowling, boating and playing euchre. She had a special fondness for pets of all kinds. Berneice volunteered at church functions and for the Meals on Wheels program. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Survivors include six children, Nick (Martha) Weber, of Annandale, NJ, Phyllis (Art) Weber Baggett, of El Portal, CA, Gary (Gretchen Reis) Weber, of Tomah, WI, Ron (Cindy) Weber, of Cuba City, Jane (Tom) Weber Erickson, of Delta, WI, Randy (Judy) Weber, of Plattenville, LA; and 14 grandchildren. Berneice was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Heiar. In lieu of flowers a Berneice Weber Memorial Fund has been established.
