Brett J. Leibold, 50, of Maquoketa, Iowa, formerly of Benton, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, March 7, 2024, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Benton, Wisconsin with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cuba City, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 9-11:45 a.m. Thursday at the church before the service. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is serving the family.

Brett was born on January 10, 1974, in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Jim and Pat (Murphy) Leibold. After Brett graduated from Benton High School in 1992, he earned a bachelor's degree from Phoenix University in information technology. Brett worked the last twelve years at RSM as a computer engineer.

In 1999 Brett met Debbie Lennox. They married in 2003 and went on to have one daughter, Kailyn Ruth. Brett loved the Chicago Bears, professional wrestling, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Brett is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughter, Kailyn; mom and stepdad, Pat and Jay Cherry; his sister, Nichole Leibold and her two sons, Luke and Noah; his in-laws, Mary and Ron Lennox; his stepbrother, Trevor Cherry; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim, and his grandparents, Tom and Marcella Murphy and Gene and Mary “Babe” Leibold.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
