Cuba City, Wisconsin C. Byrne "Bing" Wilberding, 85, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Unity Point Health Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Friends may also call from 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. Bing was born on May 24, 1931, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Carl L. and Nuala (Byrne) Wilberding. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Bing worked at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works from 1959-1991. On May 28, 1966, he married Pat Johnson at Holy Ghost Church in Dubuque. Bing was a member of the American Legion and VFW and was on the last Honor Flight to Washington D.C. out of Dubuque in 2014. He was also a member of UAW Local 94, Knights of Columbus Council 765, and the Catholic Order of Foresters Court 582. Bing never met a stranger and he made everyone feel comfortable through his gift of gab. He loved to tease everyone, especially his grandchildren. During his younger years he enjoyed boating and patiently shared his love of boating and water skiing with many. Bing was a Packers and Badgers fan. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Pat; two children, Kris (husband, Doug Barney) Wilberding, of Greenville, Indiana, and Dennis (Kendle) Wilberding, of Woodland Park, Colorado; four grandchildren, Madison and Bella Barney, and Laine and Lily Wilberding; a brother, Jerome "Dude" (Karen) Wilberding, of Sparta; two sisters, June (Mike "Mickey") Schmitz, of Rochester, Minnesota, and Jane Ann Gundlach, of Portage; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Wilberding, of Mt. Horeb. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Wilberding; three brothers, Kenneth, David and an infant brother, Carl; a sister-in-law, Annabel Wilberding; and a brother-in-law, Paul Gundlach. A special thank you to Dr. Angela Kelley and Jennifer, Dr. Ron Schope and Lori, as well as the staff and "Bing's Girls" at Finley Hospital.
