Cuba City, Wisconsin Calvin K. "Cal" Nevins, 62, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Saturday, September 29, 2018, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at the United Methodist Church in Cuba City with Pastor Hee Kwon Jung officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Friends may also call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church before the service. Cal was born on December 6, 1955, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Roger and Joyce Anne (Hoyt) Nevins. He married Karen J. Carson on June 7, 1986, in Silvis, Illinois, and they lived in Carbon Cliff, Illinois. In 2005 they moved to Cuba City. Cal graduated from United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois, in 1974. He was currently working as a forklift operator at John Deere Dubuque Works. Cal enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears and loved spending time with his grandkids and spending time at the cabin in Barnes, Wisconsin. Survivors include his wife, Karen; three daughters, Candi (Brandon) Buffington, of Seymour, TN, Mindi (Kyle) Smith, of Cuba City, WI and Cori Anne (Warren Head) Nevins, of Dubuque, IA; his parents, Roger and Joyce Nevins, of East Moline, IL; a brother, Larry (Cathy) Nevins, of Rock Island, IL; and eight grandchildren, Courtney, Alex, Jarred, Caitlin, Lindsay, Ty, Xavier, and Jordin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church in Cuba City.
