Carol L. Moon

Rockford, Illinois Carol L. Moon, 65, of Rockford, Illinois, formerly of Cassville, Wisconsin, died Friday, August 3, 2012, at Alden Park Strathmoor Nursing Home in Rockford. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Casey Funeral Home in Cuba City with Bob Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Primitive Methodist Cemetery in Leadmine. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Carol was born on January 22, 1947, in Lancaster, Wisconsin, the daughter of Donald and Serena (Bennett) Moon. Carol began school in Benton and finished in Lancaster. She worked as a governess and later worked at Rapid Die and Molding Co. in Cassville. Carol enjoyed watching the Cubbies and Packers on TV. She loved going out to dinner and being with friends. She was a very caring and giving person who could talk with everyone she met. They never forgot her. Carol loved us all very much. Survivors include her siblings, Fred (Judy) Moon, of Poplar Grove, IL, Jeannette (Roger) Suer, of Janesville, WI, Francis (Sandy) Moon, of Poplar Grove, IL, Mary Regina (James) Freeman, of Elgin, IL, and Mary (Joel) Stutz, of Shullsburg, WI; three nieces, Makila Small, Emily (Tom) Martin, and Jennifer (Jayme) Davis; four nephews, Mitchell (Karen) Moon, Todd (Donna) Suer, Troy Suer, and Andrew Freeman; and sixteen great-nieces and nephews, Justin, Kayla, Elizabeth, William, Preston, Aloyius, Cyril, Caitlyn, Collin, Cole, Garrett, Wyatt, Abby,Grady, Ian, and Evan. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Carol L. Moon Memorial Fund has been established.
