Catherine L. Mccabe

Cuba City, Wisconsin Catherine L. McCabe, 104, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Monday, December 23, 2013, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Services will 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9-10:15 a.m. Friday at the church before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Catherine was born on November 13, 1909, in Alma, Wisconsin, the daughter of Beat H. and Catherine E. (Wick) Rhyner. She married Robert McCabe on July 3, 1928, in Benton, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1978. She worked in housekeeping at the Cuba City Hospital for 24 ½ years. Catherine was an avid euchre player who played team euchre for many years. She was also an avid Packer fan who had the opportunity to meet many of the Packer players. Survivors include a son, Terry (Kathy) McCabe, of DeForest, Wisconsin; a daughter-in-law, Janet McCabe, of Cuba City; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert "Bob"; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Richard Patch; five brothers, Henry, Joseph, Rudy, Harvey and John; two sisters, Elizabeth and Alice; two brothers-in-law, Ben and Roy; and four sisters-in-law, Louise, Bernice, Helen and Hazel. The family would like to thank the staff of Epione Pavilion, Hospice Care of Dubuque, Dr. Connolly and Father Flanagan for their excellent care of Catherine.
