Cayla Jo Mutert

Dubuque, Iowa Cayla Jo Mutert, 26, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Platteville, Wisconsin, died Monday, August 5, 2019, at home. Services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Pastor Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, in Hillside Cemetery in Platteville. Friends may call from 2-5:45 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. Cayla was born on February 7, 1993, in Lancaster, Wisconsin, the daughter of Tondia R. Mutert. She worked as a call center sales representative at Focus Call Center. Cayla loved to read, play softball and spend time with her children. She loved listening and dancing to hip hop with her son Landon. Survivors include her children, Bella R. Mutert and Landon L. Mutert, both of Platteville; her mother, Tondia R. Mutert, Platteville; a brother, Jason Farrey, Shullsburg; a sister, Alyssa (fiancé, Justin Moris) Miles, Dickeyville; two nephews, Liam and Xander Farrey; a niece, Amara Moris; her aunts, Mary (Mike) Stymiest and Karen Harris, both of Platteville, and Peggy (Jayde) Fischer, Sydney, Montana; her uncles, Howard and Terrance Jefferson “T.J.” Mutert, both of Platteville; her cousins, Eric, Bryson, Travis, Corey, Shannon, Jami, Shyan, Kacy and Kameron; her amazing friends, Jane and Brianna Wedig; and of course, many other friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leroy and Shirley Mutert; an aunt, Patti Mutert; a nephew, Maddox G. Farrey; a cousin, Jayde Harley Fischer; and her only father figure, Dwayne Ohmert.
