Cheryl A. Franzen

Cheryl Ann Franzen, 41, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2010 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, in Dickeyville with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home before the service. Cheryl was born on April 8, 1969 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Bernard and Anita (Timmerman) Heileman. She married Travis Franzen on June 13, 2003. She worked as a medical technician at the Galena Hospital. She liked the medical field because she enjoyed helping people. The medical field gave her purpose and allowed her to contribute to others. She loved people and animals, wanting to do things for them. Survivors include her husband, Travis, of Hazel Green; a son, Corbin, at home; her parents, Bernard and Anita Heileman, of Dickeyville; her in-laws, Ivan and Karen Franzen, of Ossian, Iowa; two sisters, Sheila (Vincent) Madama, of Roscoe, Illinois, and Roxane (Kevin) Hafkemeyer, of Sherrill, Iowa; two brothers, Gary (Karen) Heileman, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and Rick Heileman, of Louisburg, Wisconsin; and a brother-in-law, Stacy (Becky) Franzen, of Cuba City. Cheryl is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who continue to cherish her memory. Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel “Boone” Heileman. A Cheryl Franzen Memorial Fund is being established in lieu of flowers.
