Hazel Green, Wisconsin Dale P. Wiederholt, 56, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, died Friday, January 10, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sinsinawa, with Rev Kenneth Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, where the parish rosary will be held at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home before the service. Dale was born on June 7, 1957, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Doris (Donovan) Wiederholt. He married the former Karen Niehoff on July 2, 1983 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Randolph, Wisconsin. Dale was a graduate of UW-Platteville in Ag-Business, the owner for 31 years of Wiederholt Transport, Inc. and a Certified Engine Builder through Detroit Diesel. He was an all around trucker and farmer. Dale was a member of the Hazel Green Fire Department, and a life long member of the O.O.I.D.A., where he served on the Board of Directors. He along with others ran the Southwest Wisconsin Stock Car Association, Inc. for three years. Dale was a member of St. Joseph's Church. He enjoyed following his children's school activities when he could. Survivors include his wife, Karen, of Hazel Green; three sons, Eric (Theresa), of Shullsburg, Scott and Neil, both at home; his parents, Ken and Doris Wiederholt, of Hazel Green; a sister, Sharon (Dennis) Watters, of Cuba City; two brothers, Ken (Kim) Wiederholt, of Hazel Green, and Steve (Linda) Wiederholt, of Platteville; his in-laws, Ray and Virginia Niehoff, of Randolph, Wisconsin; a brother-in-law, Gene (Wanda) Niehoff, of Nisswa, Minnesota; two sisters-in-law, Sue (Jon) Nelson, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and Lynn (Jim) Zinkgraf, of Appleton, Wisconsin; two step-granddaughters, Halona and Essence, and a grandchild due this week; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy. A Dale P. Wiederholt Memorial Fund has been established.
