Hazel Green, Wisconsin Daniel T. Lange, 62, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family after his courageous battle for 14 years with various health issues. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019, at St. Francis de Sales Church in Hazel Green with Rev. Kenneth Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Friday at the church before the service. Dan was born on September 21, 1956, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Merlin F. and Evelyn J. (Schonhoff) Lange. He married Robin McCarthy on January 22, 2005, at Sinsinawa Mound, Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. Dan worked for five years at John Deere Tractor Works and for 35 years at Flexsteel Industries. Dan attended St. Joseph’s School in Sinsinawa, Hazel Green High School and Southwestern Vocational Technical School in Fennimore for welding. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, biking, fishing, deer hunting up north and raising Christmas trees. He also enjoyed playing cards especially euchre and pinochle. Dan participated in the Men’s CEW at the Sinsinawa Mound, the Knights of Columbus, built houses for the less fortunate in Jamaica with Food for the Poor, and was known as the “TEC Trailer Man” because of his many years of service with the Together Encountering Christ Program. Dan lived his life by the mantra that “God is good. God has a plan. God is in Control.” Most of all, he loved his wife and children, Jeff, Cindy and David. Survivors include his wife, Robin; his children, Jeff (fiancée, Sarah), Pardeeville, Cindy (Charald) Lange, Leiden, Netherlands, and David, at home; his parents, Merlin and Evelyn Lange, Hazel Green, a sister, Deb Schneider, Menominee, IL; and two brothers, Dick (Sheila) Lange, Kieler, Tim (Samantha) Lange, Cobb; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dave and Peg McCarthy, Highland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Mary Lange and Paul and Mary Schonhoff, and his brother-in-law, Pete Schneider.
