David J. “Dave” Brandt, 64, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, passed away at Finley Hospital, Dubuque, IA, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery following the service. A visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler. There will be a parish wake service at 2:45 p.m. before the visitation. Visitation will also be held Monday from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Casey-McNett Funeral Home of Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Dave was born on August 4, 1959, in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, to Donald and Elaine (Dalsing) Brandt. Dave graduated from Hazel Green High School and operated his family farm with his father. After his father passed, Dave took ownership and the farm continued to be the center of his life. He was a faithful and lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler. He enjoyed following basketball, especially the Pioneer, Badger, and Hawkeye teams. Some of his favorite activities were with his “volleyball crew”. They made many fond memories on their ATV and tractor ride adventures.

Dave is survived by his siblings, Bob (Jeanette) Brandt, of Hazel Green, Karen Timmerman, of Kieler, John D. (Sharon) Brandt, of Cuba City, Diane (Rick) Downing, of Iowa City, and Joan (John) McClain, of Hazel Green; his brother-in-law, Norm Hanfeld, of Kieler; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Jean Hanfeld, and Janice Brandt; brother-in-law, Elmer Timmerman; and a nephew, Michael Hanfeld.
