Cuba City, Wisconsin David L. "Dave" Kirk, 77, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2016, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Friends may also call from 9-9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home before the service. Dave was born on February 15, 1939, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Leonard and Lorenza "Tiny" (Bergman) Kirk. He married Connie Tarrell on September 1, 1962, in Fennimore. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2004. Dave owned Kirk's Sporting Goods and also worked at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works and Truck Country. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Dave was an avid Badger, Packer and Cubs fan. He also loved watching his grandchildren participate in sports. Survivors include his daughter, Jill (Fred) Kuhl, of Hazel Green, two sons, Brad (Kim) Kirk, of Milton, and Lance Kirk, of Dubuque; his mother-in-law, Marietta Tarrell, of Fennimore; a sister, Faye (James) Meier, of Davis, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Lloyd (Paula) Tarrell, of Fennimore; and his grandchildren, Katelyn and Matthew Kirk, Dalton and Sydni Kirk, Morgan (Garrett Nagel) Kuhl and their son, Finley Nagel, and Madison, Jaxin and Briar Kuhl. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Pete Tarrell; a sister-in-law, Mary Baker; and a granddaughter, Bayli Jo Kirk. A David L. "Dave" Kirk Memorial Fund has been established.
