Dennis J. Deiter

Potosi, Wisconsin Dennis J. Deiter, 57, of Potosi, Wisconsin, formerly of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2019, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 3:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Friday at the church before the service. Dennis was born on March 3, 1962, in Cuba City, the son of Vernon “Scoop” and Pat (Aurit) Deiter. He married Bonnie Langkamp on March 9, 2018, in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Dennis worked at the Cuba City State Bank from 1983 until 2003. He began working at the Benton State Bank in 2003 until moving to the Tennyson/Potosi Branch in 2015. In 2015 Dennis made a career move to Emmi Roth Cheese Factory where he worked until the time he became ill in 2017. Dennis was always busy landscaping, refinishing old furniture and caning, never sitting still. He enjoyed driving to the “Point” and Hickory Hill Park to check out the deer and wildlife each day. Dennis loved to golf and was always ready to spend time with family and friends. He was a loyal, dependable, gentle man who was dedicated to whatever his job was. Dennis is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Hilary (Jarid) Brockman, of Algonquin, IL and Ryan (Noelle) Deiter, of Rochester, MN; parents, Vernon “Scoop” and Pat Deiter; sister, Sandra (Rodney) Adams, all of Cuba City; two stepsons, Christopher (Teresa) Langkamp, Sun Prairie and Michael “Lou” (Maggie) Langkamp, Benton; six grandchildren, Violet, Genna, Isabell, Taylor, Danielle and Keithen; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Bob”. We are forever grateful for the doctors and staff at UW-Madison Carbone Center for the great care, especially Dr. Ticiana Leal, the Grant County Cancer Coalition, the Cuba City Knights of Columbus, Grant County Hospice; Grant Regional Health Center and the Potosi EMS.
