Donald B. Taylor, 78, of Hazel Green died Monday, December 6, 2010, at home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, with Rev. Rod Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Cuba City. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the funeral home, and again Friday morning before the service. Donald was born on August 21, 1932 in Blue River, Wisconsin, the son of Charles and Adeline Taylor. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict, and served on the U.S.S. Stormes as a 2nd class petty officer. Don was a member of the “Tin Can Sailors”, and was a lifetime VFW member. He retired from General Motors. Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Walt Calvert) Taylor, of Cuba City; a son, Dean “Marty” Taylor, of Hazel Green; two sisters, Patty Belke, of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, and Linda (Larry Knebler), of Augusta, Kansas; and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie; a son, Charles; and a sister, Barbara.
