Don was born May 22, 1954, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Verden H. Farrey and Clarice (Cook) Farrey. Don was raised in Benton and graduated as salutatorian of the 1972 Benton High School graduating class. Don went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Wisconsin Platteville.
Don married Michelle Teasdale on August 14, 1975. To this union three children, two boys and one girl, were born, but sadly after fifteen years the marriage ended in a divorce.
Don worked as a contractor in the insurance business, as an adjuster and real estate investigator, until his retirement in 2019. During his working years he befriended an associate, Melody Keller, and after being friends for ten years, Don, Melody, and Melody’s son, Josh, moved in together and eventually moved to Springfield, Missouri, for Josh’s employment. They lived together for 16 years until Don’s passing.
Don was a Green Bay Packer football fan and a Chicago Cub baseball fan. Don also liked car shows and his dream car was a 62 Corvette. He cherished his two little terriers and enjoyed caring for and walking them.
Those left to remember Don are his girlfriend, Melody Keller; son, Josh Keller and his wife, Darci; Don’s ex-wife, Michelle Forsythe; sons, Aaron and Doron; daughter, Beth; six grandchildren; sister, Barbara Stodden of Cannon Falls, MN; brothers, Allan of St. Paul, MN and Ken (Sharon) of Benton, WI; sister-in-law, Vicki Farrey of Benton, WI; along with many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his two terriers, Gizmo and Cupcake.
