Dorothy M. Runde

Hazel Green, Wisconsin Dorothy M. Runde went to be with Jesus, her Savior, on January 25, 2019. Services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the Community Evangelical Free Church, 300 Pioneer Road East, Platteville, Wisconsin, with Pastor Larry Lloyd officiating. Friends may call from 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is serving the family. Dorothy Runde was born on October 11, 1929, to Joseph and Anna (Gotto) Pfohl of Galena, Illinois. She married Arthur F. Runde of Cuba City, Wisconsin, on July 26, 1949. They were dairy farmers until retiring. Dorothy enjoyed sharing about Jesus, family, traveling, playing the accordion and the piano, and playing euchre. Dorothy is survived by seven children, Karen (John) Gander, of Fennimore, WI, Gerald J. (Jean) Runde, of Goodrich, MI, Mary Kay (Dan) Donar, of East Dubuque, IL, Bernard (Ronda) Runde, of Cuba City, WI, Jo-Anne Beadle, of Hazel Green, WI, Kenneth (Mayra) Runde, of Madison, WI, and Joyce (Don) Angelo, of Phillips, WI; her sister, Rita Kaiser, of Hazel Green, WI; her sister-in-law, Jean Vanwagenen, of Florida; and her brothers-in-law, Frank Runde, of Hazel Green, WI, and Robert Lambert, of Ohio. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur; three brothers, Herbert (Anna), Leon (June) and Edward (Thelma); four sisters, Clara (Henry) Weber, Leonetta (Herman) Weber, Maleta (Melvin) Roling and Marcella (Elmer) Kunkel; her son-in-law, Dennis Beadle; her brothers-in-law, Leonard Kaiser, Justin (Lori) Runde and Herbert (Pat) Runde; her sisters-in-law, Margaret (Bernard) Leibfried, Mary Jane (Donald) Lowe, Christina Lambert and Ruth (Gerald) Sjobakkenl; and a grandson, Troy Runde. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque for their compassionate care and also all those who visited, prayed for and supported mom and our family. In lieu of flowers, an account has been established at Dupaco Community Credit Union for the benefit of Dorothy Runde.
