Cuba City, Wisconsin Dorrance H. Stecklein, 76, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2010, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan and Rev. Monte Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, with the rosary by the Catholic Daughters, Court # 4 at 1:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home before the service. He was born on July 16, 1933, in Sherrill, Iowa, the son of Herbert and Louisa (Pfohl) Stecklein. He married Louise A. Dahlby on May 14, 1960. Dorrance served in the army from 1954 to 1956. After serving in the army, he worked at the Dubuque Packing Company until moving to Wisconsin in 1972, where he farmed until his retirement. Dorrance enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers. He also loved fishing and in his later years did woodworking and made many things for his family. He loved watching his grandkids’ activities. Survivors include his wife, Louise; two daughters, Carol (Terry) Tyson, of Shullsburg, and Cathy (Greg) Stelpflug, of Dodgeville; five sons, Mark (Janet) Stecklein, of Platteville, Matthew (Darcy) Stecklein, of Mount Horeb, Micheal Stecklein, of Lancaster, Mo (special friend, Lois Deich) Stecklein, of Ridgeway, and Marv (Rael) Stecklein, of Platteville; a sister, Dorothy Neumann, of Durango, Iowa; a brother, Leon (Joan) Stecklein, of Chestnut Mound, Tennessee; and eight grandchildren, Lee (fiance, Brittany) and Luke Tyson, Tess and Morgan Stecklein, Kaitlin and Zachary Stecklein, and Rylee and Beckem Stecklein. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Cyril Stecklein; and two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Neumann and Jerry Dahlby.
