Platteville, Wisconsin Dorrance J. Dean, 69, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Southwest Health Center Hospital in Platteville. Services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Private family burial will be in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Kieler. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Dorrance was born on September 12, 1947, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Donald and Irma (Burbach) Dean. He married Sherry L. Liddle on June 11, 1966. She preceded him in death on April 25, 2010. Dorrance worked at the Dubuque Packing Company for 37 years and was also a semi truck driver for eleven years. He served as a Boy Scout Master for eleven years. Survivors include his son, David (Stacy) Dean, of Cuba City; a daughter, Deborah Darosh, of Washington; a sister, Mary Bleile, of Dubuque; a brother-in-law, Larry Liddle, of Dubuque; three sisters-in-law, Barb Dean and Beverly Oestrich, both of Dubuque, and Linda (Terry) Slater, of Platteville; five grandchildren, Brody and Kenleigh Dean, and Jenny, Matt and Courtney Hefel; and five great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Delvin and Leonard Dean; a sister, Donna Bobo; and a brother-in-law, Elmer Bleile. A Dorrance J. Dean Memorial Fund has been established. The family wishes to thank Manor Care and Southwest Health Center for their care.
