Cuba City, Wisconsin Duane F. Lyster, 77, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Thursday, December 14, 2017 at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2017, at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 1:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10:15 a.m. Monday at the church before the service. Duane was born on December 23, 1939, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Del and Edwina (Ginter) Lyster. He married Patricia "Pat" Burbach on January 10, 1959, at St Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City. Duane worked at John Deere and ran the Mobile Station in Cuba City with his father for five years. He was an avid camper, loved to travel, and enjoyed going to flea markets and antique shows. Duane liked playing the banjo and was a history buff who enjoyed learning and reading. Survivors include his wife, Pat; two sons, Marty (Rita) Lyster, of Cuba City and Steve (Mary Lea) Lyster, of Greensboro, North Carolina; a sister, Lynn (Ron) Cunzenheim, of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Trevor, Alec and Logan Lyster; a step-granddaughter, Andy (Joe) Deckert; two great-grandchildren, Dallas and Grace Deckert; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Del and Edwina; and a son, Mark. A Duane F. Lyster Memorial Fund has been established.
