Edna E. Fuerstenberg

April 20, 1918 — September 15, 2008

Edna was born on April 20, 1918, in Platteville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Newton and Lillian (Habel) Edwards. She married Maynard Fuerstenberg on September 30, 1939 at St. Mary’s Church in Platteville. Edna was a member of the Platteville VFW Auxiliary, and the Galena Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Maynard, of Galena; two daughters, Judy (Bob) Lopata, of Brookings, Oregon, and Kay (Lee) Foecking, of Galena, Illinois; two sisters, Ann Gates, of Kenosh, Wisconsin, and Betty Pollard, of Belmont, Wisconsin; a brother, Carl Edwards, of Galena, Illinois; three grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Ann on June 28, 1965; a sister, Ella; and three brothers, Tommy, LeRoy “Happy”, and Robert “Bud”.
