Ed was born on August 8, 1928, in Belmont, Wisconsin, the son of Joseph and Catherine (McComish) Schuchart. He married the former Betty Jane Craig, on October 16, 1948. She died on February 1, 1987. He later married Maxine Zidek on December 16, 1989. She survives. Ed liked to fish, boat, play euchre, and visit with people. He worked at John Deere Tractor Works as a machinist. He was very proud of being a union steward and he retired from John Deere in 1987. Ed then worked for public storage in Lombard, Illinois. He loved his little dog “Laddie”, and his son’s dog “Sandy”. Besides his wife, Maxine, he is survived by three daughters, Connie Brown, of Benton, Debra (Darwin “Boo”) Kurth, of Hazel Green, and Joann Anderson, of Delavan, Wisconsin; five sons, Edward G.(fiancée, Debbie Spillane) Schuchart Jr., of Cuba City, John (Mary) Schuchart, of Jacksonville, Florida, Richard A. (Diana) Schuchart, of Hazel Green, Ronald (Julie) Schuchart, and Dave (Lori) Schuchart, both of Cuba City; a sister, Mary Rita Boyle, of Dodgeville, Wisconsin; two sisters-in-law, Fritzie Lach and Chickie Isdell, both of Chicago, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Robert (Mary Jane) Cragg, of Cuba City; eighteen grandchildren; and thirty great-grandchildren. Besides his first wife, Betty, he was preceded in death by an infant son; three grandsons, Christopher and Bradley Schuchart, and Joe Brown; a son-in-law, Murph Brown; and his dog, “Laddie” in March, 2008.
