Eileen was born on December 20, 1922 in Potosi, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Josepha (Schaefer) Droessler. She married Carl Roddick on March 2, 1943. She worked at the Dubuque Battery Factory, the Dubuque Packing Company, and during WW II she worked in Platteville cracking eggs to make powdered eggs for the troops in the war. She was a great cook, and her schmankuken was the best. Eileen loved to sew and make quilts, and she was a special grandma to all of her grandchildren. Besides her husband, Carl, Eileen is survived by two daughters, Diana (Ken) Comer, of Farley, Iowa, and Charlene (Mike) Munyon, of Cuba City; two sons, Kenny Roddick, of Cuba City, and Steven (Cathy) Roddick, of Balltown, Iowa; one sister, Doris (Dave) Naber, of Dubuque; two brothers, Justin (Agnes) Droessler, of Dubuque, and John (Pauline) Droessler, of Dickeyville; two sisters-in-law, Geneva Droessler, of Dubuque, and Velma Droessler, of Lancaster; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, John in January of 1980, and Ricky, on March 27, 2012; a sister, Adele Mohr; three brothers, Roman, LaVern, and Ardwin Droessler; and a granddaughter, Renae Comer.
