Platteville, Wisconsin Eleanor L. "Ellie" Hinderman, 80, of Platteville, Wisconsin, formerly of Cuba City, died Monday, June 22, 2015, at Southwest Health Center Hospital in Platteville. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish and Catholic Daughters rosary will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-9:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home before the funeral. Ellie was born on September 14, 1934, in Beetown Township, Wisconsin, the daughter of Howard L. and Viola (Garthwaite) Myers. She married James C. "Jim" Hinderman on August 11, 1953, at St. Patrick's Church in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2014. She graduated from Bloomington High School. Ellie and Jim farmed in the Cuba City area all their lives. Later she attended Southwest Tech and was employed at Universal Electric in Dubuque. Ellie enjoyed playing cards, bowling, genealogy and record keeping. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sports activities. Ellie was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the St. Rose Council of Catholic Women and held various offices in both of them. Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Dan) Osterhaus, and Carolyn (Mike) Bierman, both of Bloomington, and Rose (Jim) Bierman, of Lancaster; a son-in-law, Ken Tranel, of Cuba City; a sister, Barbara (Don) Douglas, of Amery, WI; three brothers, Donald (Heather) Myers, of Janesville, MN, Darrell (Betty) Myers, of Cuba City, and Dennis Myers, of Wyalusing; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, James B. Hinderman; a daughter, Diane Tranel; a granddaughter, Danielle Osterhaus; and an infant sister. An Eleanor L. "Ellie" Hinderman Memorial Fund has been established.
