Elizabeth M. “Liz” Luna, 89, of Clarksville, Tennessee, formerly of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Cuba City, Wisconsin, with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 at Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, and from 10-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.


Liz was born on July 20, 1934, in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the daughter of Elmer and Agnes (Vanek) Webster. She graduated from Patch Grove High School and then moved to Chicago, Illinois to work as a nanny. Liz was united in marriage to Santos T. Luna on December 23, 1955, in Waukegan, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2014.


Liz and Santos raised their family of ten children in Platteville, Wisconsin. She worked at Piggly Wiggly and the Platteville Telephone Company. After Santos retired, they moved to Andrew, Iowa, where she owned and managed several area restaurants. Liz loved family get-togethers with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed country music, dancing and singing, as well as playing cards and trips to the casino.


Liz is survived by four daughters, Carla (Dennis) Dahl, Dubuque, IA, Laurie Ann (Don) Luna-Christiansen, Wyoming, IA, Angela Foreyt, Lancaster, WI, and Christine (Jerry) Richter, Kieler, WI; four sons, Kelvin (Rita) Luna, Cuba City, WI, Kevin (Donna) Luna, New Boston, IL, Charles (Carrie) Luna, Cochrane, WI, and Craig (Demaris) Luna, Clarksville, TN; 27 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and a great-granddaughter on the way; and one great-great-grandson.


She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Larry Luna and Andrew Luna; three brothers, James Webster, George (Laura) Webster and Charles Webster; and three sisters, Marla (Pep) Ludvik, Charlotte (Dick) Dahl and Stasia (Ray) Sawvell.


The family wishes to thank the staff of Tennova Hospice for their care of Liz.


In lieu of flowers, an Elizabeth M. Luna Memorial Fund has been established.
