Elizabeth T. Werner

Cuba City, Wisconsin Elizabeth T. "Betty" Werner, 86, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at home. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in Holland, Minnesota at a later date. Friends may call from 11:30 until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home. Betty was born on October 19, 1927, in Lake Wilson, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Irene (Beers) Scotting. She married Lester J. Werner on May 14, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2001. Betty worked as a nurse's aide at the Cuba City Hospital. Betty loved traveling with Lester in their 5th wheel and her daily walks. She enjoyed bingo and crocheting afghans for her grandchildren. Her faith was very important to her. Survivors include two daughters, Gayle L. (Harland "Harlie") Coulthard, of Cuba City, and Theresa I. (Dennis) Coulthard, of Lenexa, Kansas; five sons, Leslie A. (Judy) Werner, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Frank W. (Lynn) Werner, of Medford, Wisconsin, Scott J. (Diane) Werner, of Cuba City, Douglas A. (Sharee) Werner, of San Diego, California, and Gary L. Werner, of Santa Clarita, California; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gertrude Meyer; and two brothers, George and Simon Scotting. An Elizabeth T. "Betty" Werner Memorial Fund has been established.
