Ellen R. Wedig, 94, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Cuba City, Wisconsin, with Rev. Tom Kelley officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Elk Grove, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the funeral. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City, Wisconsin is assisting the family.

Ellen was born on January 7, 1931 in New Diggings, Wisconsin, the daughter of Sylvester and Mary Anne (Hoppenjan) Wedig. Ellen worked as an accountant/auditor for the State of Wisconsin for many years.

Survivors include her sisters, Yvonne “Bonnie” Wedig and Louise Westberg, both of Madison, WI; brother-in-law, Bill Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Elizabeth Smith, Mary (Les) Schultz and Geraldine (Ken) McCarville; four brothers, William (Jan) Wedig, Keith (Dorothy Mae) Wedig, Arthur (Betty) Wedig and James Wedig; and a brother-in-law, Don Westberg.
