Evelyn E. Evans

Cuba City, Wisconsin Evelyn E. Evans, 84, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Monday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake will be at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call from 9 - 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the church before the service. Evelyn was born, in Arcadia, WI, to William and Stella (Malesytcki) Hartwick, and lived in Wisconsin and Minnesota. After high school she worked in Winona, MN, where she met her husband, Art Evans. Evelyn worked outside the home as a library aid at the Cuba City Elementary School, at Fendall in Platteville, and A.Y. McDonald in Dubuque. She was a certified nurse's aid for home health care and the Sinsinawa Mound. Evelyn was an excellent cook and baker. She got her Ham Radio Operator License. She liked to travel and visited the 48 continental states, some Canadian provinces and Maui, Hawaii. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Arthur; her children, Jean (Kevin) Mulvey, Lucas (Karen Lampe) Evans and Jay (Kim Griffin) Evans; her sister, Marie (Rex) Herman; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Howard; her parents; three brothers, Richard, William and Wilfred Hartwick; and her sister, Margaret Weisbrod.
