Cuba City, Wisconsin Evon M. Dodds, 90, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish and Catholic Daughters wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home before the service. Evon was born on November 9, 1922, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the daughter of Peter and Minnie (Pickel) Burbach. She married Robert Dodds on October 6, 1942, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2008. Bob and Evon farmed for approximately 55 years before moving to Cuba City in 2004. Evon just celebrated her 90th birthday with a large family gathering. She was a very independent woman and a great role model for her children and grandchildren. Bob and Evon loved to dance. She especially loved and enjoyed visiting with family and in her spare time enjoyed baking, bingo, scratch off tickets, and gardening. She also enjoyed working on the election board for Smelzer Township. Evon was a lifelong member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Survivors include four daughters, Dianne (Curt) Axen, of Rochester, Minnesota, Jan (Rich) Schmieder, of Bloomington, Wisconsin, Deb (Bob) Nadler, of San Diego, California, and Lisa (Jeff) Arndt, of Oregon, Wisconsin; three sons, Roger (Sharon) Dodds, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Tim (Jean) Dodds, of South Bend, Indiana, and Randy (Kathy) Dodds, of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; a brother, Robert (Jeanette) Burbach, of Cuba City; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren with twins expected in March 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Minnie Burbach; and a brother, Maynard Burbach. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Rose of Lima School or St. Rose of Lima Parish.
