Platteville, Wisconsin Florence J. Ensch, 97, of Platteville, Wisconsin, formerly of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Manor Care in Platteville. Services will 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2014, at the United Methodist Church in Cuba City with Pastor Dan Verdegan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Cuba City. Friends may also call from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Friday at the church before the service. Florence was born on December 18, 1916, in Galena, Illinois, the daughter of Christopher and Helena (Scherre) Oldenburg. She married Ernest "Ernie" Ensch on November 30, 1940, at St. Mary's Church in Galena. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2002. Florence was well known for being a registered nurse at the Hazel Green Hospital. She was a very active member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed to travel, read and walk. Survivors include two children, Harold (Carolyn) Ensch, of Shullsburg, and Stanley (Mary Jo) Ensch, of Indianapolis, Indiana; four grandchildren, Mary Ensch, Michelle (Bill) Meister, Suzanne (Michael) DeSante, and Diana (Wesley) Caster; and four great-grandchildren, Kristianna and Kylar Meister, and Tucker and Samantha Caster. She was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher, and two sisters, Ethel and Rosseta.
