Cuba City, Wisconsin Frances J. Tippett Stotmeister, 97, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Services will be 12:00 noon on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Rev. Daniel Verdegan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and after 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Frances was born on May 19, 1918, in Shullsburg Township, Wisconsin, the daughter of John "Jack" and Minnie (Pratt) Tippett. She married Alvin "Al" Stotmeister on February 23, 1952, in Savanna, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1998. Frances attended Leadmine and Sullivan Grade Schools and Benton High School. She worked at the Savanna Ordinance Depot, Burgess Battery in Galena and Freeport, and Atwood in Rockford. She previously lived in Freeport and Rockford for 35 years. Frances enjoyed traveling, visiting every state except Alaska, and also visited Mexico, Canada, and Europe. She also enjoyed camping, spending several winters in Florida, and family. Survivors, all from Wisconsin, include two daughters, Carol (Joe) Knox, of Cuba City, and Linda (Jim) Boehning, of Whitewater; eight grandchildren, Dennis Knox, of Cuba City, Deb (fiance, Jack Carrington) Burlison, of Hartland, Tim (Chris) Knox, of Oregon, Pam (Jason) Mootz, of Cuba City, Scott (Melba) Garlock, of Clinton, Rob (Lisa) Garlock, of Burlington, Jamie (Stephanie) Boehning, of Whitewater, and Mindy (Scott) Walker, of Helenville; fifteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Bob (Ellie) Stotmeister, of Stratford. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one infant son, Reginald; one infant daughter, Delores; one sister, Ruby (Lloyd) Farrey; two brothers-in-law, John (Mary Carol) Stotmeister, and Donald (Judy) Stotmeister. The family is grateful for the care received from the staff at Park Place and Epione Pavilion.
