Dickeyville, Wisconsin Francis A. "Frankie" Freese, 76, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died Sunday, September 8, 2013, at UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013, at St. Andrew Church in Tennyson, Wisconsin, with Rev. Richard Leffler and Rev. Randy Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the church before the service. Frankie was born on November 30, 1936, in Jamestown Township, Wisconsin, the son of Henry and Marie (Richard) Freese. He married Harriet Langmeier on May 20, 1958 at St. Mary's Church in East Dubuque, Illinois. Frankie worked at the Dubuque Packing Plant and farmed for about 40 years and was still helping out his son. He also sold Dekalb seed corn. Frankie served on the board of Peoples Community Oil Co-op for many years and was currently on the board for Scenic Rivers Energy Co-op. He also served as Eucharistic minister at St. Andrew-Thomas Church. Frankie drove school bus for the Potosi School District. He loved fixing old tractors, putting together puzzles, playing euchre and gambling. Frankie was always busy doing something whether it was his kids' to-do list, babysitting someone's animals, or spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Harriet; his children, Ruth (Jr) Reuter, of Potosi, Karen (Dennis "Muskie") Davis, of Cuba City, Alan (Michelle), of Potosi, Linda (Dan "Tag") Schneider, of Cassville, Amy (Byron) Schmidt, of Winona, Minnesota, and Kim (Matt) Knebel, of Belmont; a sister, Margaret Welter, of Dickeyville; seventeen grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Joe Freese; and a granddaughter, Tami Jo Cardey.
