Cuba City, Wisconsin Francis C. “Fran” Conlon, 84, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Friday, December 24, 2010, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan and Pastor Debbie Pimm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home before the service. Fran was born on January 14, 1926, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Cletus and Elizabeth (Kilcoyne) Conlon. He married Betty Seeley on July 31, 1948, in Cuba City. He worked as plant manager at Jacques Seed Company in Cuba City for 35 years. Fran was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and Betty enjoyed going to Nick’s and Culver’s with their family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor. Fran will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. Fran was a devoted and dedicated member of the Cuba City Lions Club, serving as treasurer for 28 years. He was named Lion of the Year in 2007. Fran served on the Cuba City Council for eight years. Survivors include his wife, Betty, of Cuba City; two daughters, Nancy (Jim) Kramer, of Lancaster and Sue (Tom) Kramer, of Cuba City; three sisters, Darlene Kisting, of Hazel Green, and Lil (Norbert) Aurit and Sherri Tesmer, both of Janesville, Wisconsin; two brothers, Father Phil Conlon, of Branson, Missouri, and Bud Hovind, of Dubuque; three grandchildren, Jodi (Roger) Fritz, Kandi (John) Resnick, and Stacy (Terry) Terpstra; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim Conlon.
