Francis Henry Hinderman

Cuba City, Wisconsin Francis H. Hinderman, 87, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Friday, February 25, 2011 at Orchard Manor in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City, with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, where the parish wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friends may also call at the funeral home from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday morning before the service. Francis was born on August 12, 1923, the son of Henry and Helen (Mechler) Hinderman in Hazel Green Township. He married the former Charlene Theill on July 20, 1948. He was a farmer all his life. Francis and Charlene farmed until about 1975 when they moved to town. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing horse shoes, and helping Charlene grow cut flowers. Survivors include his wife, Charlene, of Cuba City; seven daughters, Judy Carlson, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Janice (Tom) Laufenberg, of Dickeyville, Joan Zeitler, of Monroe, Wisconsin, Joyce (Jack) Connery, of East Dubuque, Illinois, Jane Evanoff, of Plover, Wisconsin, Jackie (Jim) Coyle, of Cross Plains, Wisconsin, and Jolene (Scott) Murray, of Cuba City; a son, Jerome (Sue) Hinderman, of Cuba City; three sisters, Irma Keleher, of Newberg, Oregon, Jean (Chuck) Williams, of Mississippi, and Bernice Maneman, of Dubuque; nineteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons-in-law, Dale Carlson and Bud Zeitler; a sister, Clara Weigle; and four brothers, Art, Ervin, Donald, and Howard. A Francis H. Hinderman Memorial Fund has been established. A special thank you to Orchard Manor and their staff.
