Gary A. Neis

Benton, Wisconsin Gary A. "Snowball" Neis, 54, of Benton, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, as the result of an automobile accident near Benton. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at St. Patrick's Church in Benton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Gary was born on November 14, 1958, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Gerald A. and Burnetta J. (Vondra) Neis. He married Ann Runde on March 29, 1991, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gary was the administrator of the Pecatonica School District. For Gary, every day was "a great day to be a Zephyr." He was a true "green blood." Gary loved Benton, the people in it, and especially his family, whom he held so dear. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Ann, of Benton; his children, Megan and David, both of Benton; four sisters, Mary Jane (Mick) Baxter, Velma Dixon, Susan (Mike) Wolf, and Patricia Roling, all of Benton; and four brothers, John (Jane) Neis, of Oconomowoc, WI, Wayne (Patti) Neis, and Randy (Julie) Neis, both of Benton, and Gerald "Bud" Neis, of Stoughton.
