Seymour, Wisconsin Geraldine L. "Jerry Lou" Strong, 87, of Seymour, Wisconsin, formerly of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Good Shepherd Services in Seymour, WI with family at her side. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with a time of sharing to be held at 5:15 p.m. The parish prayer service will be held at 2:45 p.m. Sunday for all those who wish to attend. Friends may also call from 9-10:15 a.m. Monday at the church before the service. Jerry Lou was born on August 7, 1930, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the daughter of Melvin W. and Adella J. (Lambert) Lightfoot. She married Tom Strong Sr., who was the love of her life, on February 3, 1951. He preceded her in death in 1989. Jerry Lou worked in various jobs including the Cuba City Hospital and Clinic and Lands End. Love of family was most important to Jerry Lou. Always the last one to leave a family gathering, she was never happier than when she was with those she loved. Everyone, including her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends, felt equally special when they received her love, compliments and handmade gifts. Jerry Lou created relationships and made sure people knew they were loved. Her legacy of love will be passed on through her family. Survivors include her children, Jill Blackbourn, of LaCrosse, WI, Jody (Dan) Guler, of Neenah, WI, Jane (Joe) Morrissey, of Seymour, WI, Tom (Kelly) Strong Jr., of White Bear Lake, MN, Kim (Matt) Kuepers, of Green Bay, WI, and Jim (Kristin) Strong, of St. Paul, MN; a brother, Bob (Janice) Lightfoot, of Eau Claire, WI; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Louise.
