Gertrude Lynn Lawrence

Hazel Green, Wisconsin Gertrude Lynn Lawrence, 67, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at home. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Rev. Bill Vasey officiating. Burial will be in the United Methodist Cemetery in Benton. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home before the service. Lynn was born on October 8, 1946, in Platteville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Gerald and Laura L. (McPhail) Edge. She married Leonard A. "Lenny" Lawrence on September 6, 1969, at the United Methodist Church in Galena, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2006. Lynn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, listening to the radio, playing bingo, and scratch off tickets. Survivors include two daughters, Lenora Lawrence, of Benton, and Laura (Ron) Cutler, of Mineral Point; three stepsons, John Lawrence, of Shullsburg, and Tim (Deanna) Lawrence and Shawn Lawrence, both of Benton; three sisters, Geraldine (Richard) Kuhls, of Platteville, Irene (Gene) Clark, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, and Carolyn Kane, of Platteville; two brothers, Grant (Mary) Edge, of Fennimore, and Charles Edge, of Lancaster; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Georgina Drew. A Gertrude Lynn Lawrence Memorial Fund has been established.
