Cuba City, Wisconsin Gregory E. Johll, 73, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at home surrounded by his family. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. Francis Steffen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Friday at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City where the parish rosary will be at 12:30 p.m. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Greg was born on September 25, 1939, in North Andover, Wisconsin, the son of George E. and Marcella M. (Brendemuehl) Johll. He married Barbara J. Hahn on June 9, 1962, at Fort Lewis, Washington. He served in the US Army National Guard. Greg worked for 41 years at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works until his retirement. He also was a welding instructor and advisor at Southwest Tech in Fennimore. Greg was a member of the Cuba City Lions Club, serving as president, District Governor of District 27-D1, and chair of the diabetes committee. He was scoutmaster of Troop 775 in Cuba City, completed Woodbadge and was recognized with the Silver Beaver Award. Greg was a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 544 in Platteville, serving as post commander. He was also a Little League Coach and 4-H advisor. Survivors include his wife, Barb; two daughters, Diane (Robert) Frauchiger, of Oregon, WI, and Debra (Romas) Sims, of Eagle River, AK; three sons, Gregory "Marty" (Brenda) Johll, of Oregon, WI, Michael (Wendy) Johll, of Frankfort, KS, and Matthew (Sally) Johll, of Spring Valley, IL; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth and William Frauchiger, of Oregon, WI, George and Irene Johll, of Oregon, WI, Benjamin, Alexander, and Nathaniel Johll, of Spring Valley, IL, and Samantha and Gregory Johll, of Frankfort, KS; five sisters, Mary Johll, Martha Kreger, and Julie (John) Wiegman, all of Cuba City, Elizabeth (Mike) Klimeck, of Dubuque, and Dorothy Campbell, of Poynette, WI; six brothers, John Johll, of Ixonia, WI, Paul (Diane) Johll, of Cuba City, Robert (Jeanette) Johll, of Kieler, Patrick (Jean) Johll, of Hazel Green, Bart Johll, of Cuba City, and Chris (Judy) Johll, of Potosi; his mother-in-law, Loretta Hahn, of Dubuque; a sister-in-law, Nancy Moore, of Dubuque; and three brothers-in-law, Robert (Linda) Hahn, of Cuba City, Richard (Carol) Hahn, of Huntley, IL, and Michael Davies, of Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marcella Johll; his father-in-law, Wilbur Hahn; three brothers, Edward, Brian, and Phillip Johll; a sister Bernadette Davies; a brother-in-law, Terry Kreger; and a sister-in-law, Judy Johll. A Gregory E. Johll Memorial Fund has been established. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. John Whalen of Dubuque Internal Medicine and Dr. Mohammed Milhem of the University of Iowa Holden Cancer Center for their skilled and compassionate care of Greg.
