H. Kenneth Wilberding, 83, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Bethany Home in Dubuque. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 8:00 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home before the service. Ken was born on November 19, 1923, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Carl and Nuala (Byrne) Wilberding. He married Annabel D. Thor on June 8, 1954, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler, Wisconsin. Ken worked at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works, retiring after 20 years. Ken graduated from Cuba City High School in 1945. He served in the US Navy from 1950-1952. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post #104. Ken enjoyed camping, fishing, morel hunting and gardening. He was an avid Packer fan, a patriotic American, and enjoyed being with his family. Survivors include his wife, Annabel, of Dubuque; seven children, Sue (Tom) Bowers, of Austin, Minnesota, Cathy (Dick) Burmeister, of Warren, Illinois, Dan Wilberding , Janet Judy, and Marty (Laura) Wilberding, all of Cuba City, Joe Wilberding, of Livingston, Wisconsin, and Bob (fiancée, Sandy Armstrong) Wilberding, of Cuba City; two sisters, June (Mickey) Schmitz, of Rochester, Minnesota, and Jane Gundlach, of Portage, Wisconsin; three brothers, Jerome (Karen) Wilberding, of Sparta, Wisconsin, Byrne (Pat) Wilberding, of Cuba City, and David (Shirley) Wilberding, of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Thank you to the nurses and staff of Bethany Home for all of their loving care.
