Cuba City, Wisconsin Harland H. “Harlie” Coulthard, 71, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2019, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 1:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10:15 a.m. Monday at the church before the service. Harlie was born on February 20, 1948, in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, the son of Raymond J. and Renilda (Herbst) Coulthard. He married Gayle L. Werner on June 7, 1969, at St Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City. Harlie grew up on the family farm in Jenkynsville, worked at Jacques Seed, owned and operated Harlie and Gayle’s, and then worked at A.Y. McDonald in Dubuque. Harlie was an avid Chicago Bears, Brewers and NASCAR fan. Since 1981 he loved camping at Lake Joy. He enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre and cribbage. He was also known as “Honda”, a nickname given to him by his daughter, Candi. Survivors include his wife, Gayle; a daughter, Candi (Doug) Syvrud, Mt. Horeb, WI; two sons, Gregory Coulthard, Racine, WI, and Patrick (Alivia) Coulthard, Cuba City; a sister, Carol (Jerry) Leifker, Dickeyville, WI; three brothers, William (Jean) Coulthard, Brownton, MN, Donald (Deb) Coulthard, Oregon, WI, and Dennis (Theresa) Coulthard, Overland Park, KS; a sister-in-law, Monica (Lowell) Bartels, Glen Haven, WI; two granddaughters; and nine grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Rodney; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lester and Betty Werner.
