Harold Velede Bright

Cuba City, Wisconsin Harold V. Bright, 86, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, formerly of Pekin and Hopedale, Illinois, died Monday, May 9, 2011, at home. Private family services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, Illinois. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of local arrangements. Harold was born on October 8, 1924, in Allentown, Illinois, the son of Buford and Ethel (Stewart) Bright. He married Marjorie Jean Johnson on June 25, 1951 in Pekin, Illinois. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2004. Harold was a factory worker at Caterpillar and retired in 1985. Harold served in the Philippines during World War II. He was a member of the Amvets aand the American Legion in Pekin, Illinois. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Jean (Tony) Schrader, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, and Pamela Renee Knackmuhs, of Pekin, Illinois; four grandchildren, Tony Schrader, Jr., Stephanie Moore, Amanda Filley, and Cory (Brittney) Filley; and five great-grandchildren, T.J., Kenton, and Kylie Schrader, Kaitlin Force, and Taylar Moore. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Leroy, in January 2005; four sisters; and three brothers.
