Harvey Joseph Schroeder, 71, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Park Place Assisted Living in Platteville, Wisconsin. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville, with Rev. Bernie Rott and Rev. Francis Steffen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Casey Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:30 �" 10:15 a.m. on Friday at the church. Harvey was born on January 3, 1938, in Paris Township on the family farm near Dickeyville. He was the son of Ralph and Marie (Pickel) Schroeder. He married Jeanette Kaiser on October 7, 1958. She preceded him in death on May 25, 1986. Harvey was a meat cutter at the Dubuque Pack, FDL, and Weber’s Processing Plant. He was a member of the Dickeyville/Paris Fire Department, National Catholic Society of Foresters and Holy Ghost Parish. Survivors include one son, Bob (Nancy), of Kieler; three daughters, Shirley (Perry) Reuter, of Dickeyville, Jean (Kevin) Lange of Cuba City, and Sandy (Ted) Menne of Muscoda; a brother, James “Jim” (Rita) Schroeder of Hazel Green; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Lange, Craig Schroeder (fiancé Maria Rollins), Becki, Robbie, and Katie Lange, Anthony Reuter, Kyle and Kassandra Menne; and one great-grandchild, Tucker Lange. Harvey was also preceded in death by his parents. The family wishes to thank the Park Place Assisted Living staff and Southwest Hospice.
