Heidi R. Wackershauser, 47, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Heidi was born on July 17, 1977 in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the daughter of Daniel Wackershauser and Lila Jean Lilley. She graduated from VoTech High School in Las Vegas, Nevada and earned her CNA license.

Heidi found joy in outdoor activities like camping and motorcycle riding. Known for her compassionate nature and eagerness to assist others, she served on the Cuba City Rescue Squad for a decade. Heidi cherished moments with her loved ones, especially attending events for her nieces and nephews and spending quality time with her siblings. Heidi and Kaylene, her best friend since eighth grade, were inseparable, often traveling together and using their respective nicknames, “Sarah Smith” and “Gertie Gertrude”.

Survivors include her children, Miranda McAuliffe, Platteville, WI, Christopher McAuliffe, and Tyson McAuliffe, both of Cuba City; her siblings, Kari (Jorge) Lopez, Kieler, WI and Dan Wackershauser Jr., Platteville, WI; her stepfather, Tom Lilley; and her stepmother, Pat Wackershauser.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Wackershauser and Lila Jean Lilley; and her grandparents, Marlene and Eldon Updike, Marion Wackershauser and Bud Wackershauser.
