Helen D. Meneguin, 95, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Galena, Illinois. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the Catholic Daughters Rosary will be at 3:45 p.m. Helen was born on May 17, 1915, in Galena, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas M. and Katherine (Hubacher) Harney. She married Thomas Meneguin on December 31, 1936, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Galena. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1955. Helen graduated from Galena High School. She worked for the State of Illinois in Springfield, Illinois, until her marriage. They lived in Galena until 1944 when the family moved to Bensenville, Illinois. Helen worked as a secretary for several companies spending the last 20 years at Keebler Corporation. Helen was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Council of Catholic Women and a member of NAIM. Helen enjoyed playing cards with the Tuesday Card Club in Cuba City. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She most enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Jim (Sandy) Meneguin, of Cuba City; five grandchildren, Mary (Dr. Steven) Chetham,of Niwot, CO, Michael (Connie) Campbell, of Eagle River, WI, Jeanine Meneguin, of Darlington, WI, Thomas Meneguin, of Deatsville, AL, and Daniel (Jennifer) Meneguin, of Cuba City; and eight great-grandchildren, Tatum Campbell, Michael, Ryan and Matthew Chetham, and James, Michael, Nicholas, and Emma Meneguin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lenore Allworden; four brothers, Bertram, William, Edmund and Thomas Harney; and a sister, Mildred Mathey.
