James R. NeCollins, 91, of Platteville, Wisconsin, formerly of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Southwest Health Center Hospital in Platteville. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. The Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Jim was born on September 12, 1918, in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, the son of Clyde and Rosine (Bourquin) NeCollins. He married Mary Elizabeth Coulthard on May 20, 1947, at Our Lady of Hope Church in Seymour. They farmed in Seymour Township from 1950 until 1976. In 1977 they moved to Cuba City. Jim served in the Army in the South Pacific from September 1941 until October 1945. He belonged to the Henry Pinch American Legion Post #104. Jim enjoyed working in his yard and doing jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary, of Platteville, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Louis, Arthur, Thomas, and Nelson; and a sister, Hazel Rupp.
