Kieler, Wisconsin Jane R. Bode, 69, of Kieler, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the parish center before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements Jane was born on October 18, 1944, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Harry L. and Dolores C. (Hinderman) Schiffman. She married Terry Bode on February 23, 1963, at Holy Ghost Church in Dickeyville. Jane graduated from Cuba City High School and Dubuque Beauty Academy. She owned and operated Jane's Beauty Salon in Dickeyville and Kieler for more than 40 years. In her younger years she enjoyed weekend trips to the river with family and friends where they did a lot of boating. Jane enjoyed going to plays at the Fireside and Bell Tower and winter vacations in Florida. She loved time spent with family. Jane especially enjoyed spending time with her pride and joy, grandson "Dirk." Jane was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler. She was a past member of the Dickeyville Mother's Club and a retired member of the Jamestown Fire Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Terry; her children, Lynn (Jerry) Bode Yeazle, of Darlington, and Brett (Karen) Bode, of Shullsburg; a grandson, Dirk Bode; and her brothers and sisters, Paul (Dolores) Schiffman and Mary Lou Feltes, both of Dubuque, Harold "Harry" (Theresa) Schiffman, of Potosi, Vera (Gerald "Jerry") Kruser, of Kieler, and Sharon (John "Jack") Pitzen, of Dickeyville. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Joyce Pearce and Adele Helbing; and a brother, Bert Schiffman. A Jane R. Bode Memorial Fund has been established. The family would like to thank Fr. Rott and Dr. Herman and his staff. Heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Dubuque nurses and staff for their compassionate and quality care given to Jane and the family during this difficult time.
