Janet C. Mccabe

Cuba City, Wisconsin Janet C. McCabe, 82, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9 - 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. Janet was born on October 23, 1932, in Louisburg, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Margaret (Timmerman) Loeffelholz. She married Robert F. "Bob" McCabe on September 10, 1955, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2006. Janet worked at Weber's Meats in Cuba City for 30 plus years. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and activities with the Red Hat Ladies, card club and birthday club. Janet was a caregiver to all. Survivors include four daughters, Sharon (Andy) Probst, of Oregon, WI, Peggy Wojtal, of Maricopa, AZ, Kelly Kieler, of Verona, and Lori McCabe, of Cuba City; three sons, Mark (Ernest Green) McCabe, of Madison, Marty (special friend, Angie Hahn) McCabe, of Racine, and Mike McCabe, of Portage; three sisters, Edith Vickers, Marianne (Ed) Welsh, and Dorothy Kremer; a brother, Jack (Joanne) Loeffelholz; a special niece, Nancy Wallin; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Alec Kieler, and a sister, Melaine Runde. A Janet C. McCabe Memorial Fund has been established.
